Texas Panhandle

               See the video report here

First tornado of the day spun up on the horizon about 2 miles west of SR 70 near the Briscoe/Hall county line.  This tornado persisted for about 8 minutes while the northern most of two supercells in the area was the dominant one.

After watching the northern most cell weaken some, the southern cell was looking quite established and exhibiting some nice rotation.  After a look at radar and a call to nowcaster Alex Lamers, I decided to shoot south a bit to where the next tornado warned storm was in view.  I was rewarded with tornado #2 touching down less than a quarter mile away.

I continued to follow the tornado on the ground and watched as it strengthened before me...

The tornado marched up the hill and was disappearing so I followed it north.

The tornado eventually roped out up the road some but a fierce supercell was still raging.

Tornado #3 snakes down very briefly....

Following the storm up north it was cycling and produced a large tornado (#4) near McClean, TX as it crossed north of I-40.
