North Central Oklahoma January 31, 2008 I made the short trip north of OKC to try and place myself into some heavier areas of snow. After getting out of class I traveled north through the light snow that had been falling throughout the morning. There was a few heavier bands that were training over the same areas for a while and I figured that was my best shot of heavier accumulations. North of Guthrie the snow became heavier and visibility was greatly reduced. I decided to make a stop near Mulhall, OK where I shot most of these pictures.
The snow was very heavy at times and winds gusted to 30pmh throughout the day. Temps generally ranges from 21-25F with windchills in the low teens and single digits. Heavy snow covered the roads outside of Mulhall. I was thinking the whole time that I wanted a snowplow pic and sure enough one came along to give me some oppurtunities.
Most side roads were covered and abandoned... An old church in the town... Most of the trees were covered with heavy snow weighting them down.
